The HGSI TH-750-D series DC Linear Variable Differential Transformer (LVDT) Position Sensors are used to monitor and track the linear motion or position of a target. These ruggedized sensors are ideal for use in industrial and laboratory applications including automotive R&D, motorsports, industrial, motion control, medical, military and aerospace.

These hermetically sealed sensors are constructed entirely of stainless steel and are resistant to dust, water, and temperature. The coil windings are sealed using an epoxy potting compound providing excellent protection against shock and vibration.

The amplifier electronics are contained within the housing, no need for an external signal conditioner. The ± 10 VDC output is precalibrated at the factory.

Built to Perform in Harsh Environments

The TH-750-D/E/I Series is hermetically sealed to an IP68 rating, ensuring maximum protection against water and chemical ingress and particulate contamination. Constructed entirely of stainless steel, the sensor body resists corrosion, temperature extremes, and mechanical stress, making it an ideal choice for outdoor, washdown, or heavy-duty industrial environments.

The coil windings are encapsulated in an epoxy compound to absorb shock and vibration while maintaining long-term signal stability.

Integrated Electronics – Simplified Installation

The TH-750 series integrates the amplifier electronics into the sensor housing. This all-in-one design streamlines installation and wiring while improving noise immunity.

Each model is factory-calibrated for its designated output type, eliminating the need for external adjustments during setup. Choose from:

  • ±10 VDC for high-resolution control and feedback systems

  • 0–10 VDC for compatibility with most industrial controllers

  • 4–20 mA for long-distance current loop applications or electrically noisy environments

Free-Core Flexibility

The free-core design allows the core to move independently within the sensor body, providing mechanical flexibility. This is particularly advantageous while tracking motion from a remote target via a mechanical linkage or core extension rod.

This design eliminates mechanical wear and ensures smooth operation with minimal hysteresis or signal drift, even after millions of cycles.
