How to Program the PMD2XT series gauge 0-5V Analog Output

Instructional video for the PMD2XT series LED digital gauge panel meter display. This video reviews how to program the gauge's 0 to 5 VDC Analog Output.

Once the indicator is powered on we are ready to begin the procedure.

Begin by pressing the SET key once.

Next, using the up & right arrow keys, enter the programming code 0036.

Once the code is in the display, press the SET key once.

The indicator is now in the programming mode

The display will read “obtY”.

Press the set key once. Then using the UP-ARROW key choose the analog output type of either “0-20 or 4-20”. 

0-20 = 0-5 Volts DC output. 4-20 = 1-5 Volts DC output. 

For this example, we will choose 0-20 for a 0-5 VDC output.

Once the chosen Output Type value is in the display press the SET key once to save the value in the microprocessor’s memory.

Next, press the UP-ARROW KEY once. The display will read “obL”.

Press the set key once. Using the up & right arrow keys enter the temperature value at which you want the 0 VDC analog output value to begin. 

For this example, we will choose 0 degrees.

Once the chosen Analog Output Low Value is in the display, press the SET key once to save the value.

Next, press the UP-ARROW KEY once. The display will read “obH”.

Press the set key once. Using the up & right arrow keys to enter the temperature value at which you want the 5 VDC analog output value to end.

For this example, we will choose 500 degrees.

Once the chosen Analog Output High Value is displayed, press the SET key once to save the value.

Press the UP-arrow key once until END is displayed.

Then press the SET key once to exit the programming mode.

The indicator’s analog output now tracks the displayed temperature, 0 Volts DC = 0 degrees & 5 VDC = 500 degrees
